I’m an internationally known travel writer, entertaining presenter, and member of the International Travel Writer’s Alliance.

I started public speaking in high school, frequently addressing the entire student body of 3,000, which cured any possible stage fright I would ever have.

In my career as an advertising copywriter and Creative Director for over 45 years, I’ve made hundreds of presentations for ads, radio and TV scripts to clients, even singing jingles and acting out scenes from commercials. Those clients included Bank of America, Wells Fargo Bank, VISA, Levi Strauss, Intuit, Oracle, PwC, Safeway, Del Monte, Porsche, and dozens more.

I was also a member of Business Network International (BNI) for more than 14 years where I spoke weekly to about 50 people and presented at bi-annual conventions to over 400 members. This organization is similar to Toastmasters.

More importantly, as a prolific travel writer and “Scuba Storyteller” for the past 30 years, I’ve become an in-demand Special Interest speaker after writing more than 2,600 blogs, articles, and newsletters, including over 1,500 about travel and more than 225 about scuba.

I’m sailed aboard Sitmar Cruises (decades ago), Crystal, Silversea and Princess. Recently, I’ve made these travel-writing presentations as a guest lecturer –– and all are infused with my dry humor:

My presentation will provide an overview of the most common injuries and problems that you can encounter, regardless of how experienced you are – and how to prevent them from happening. Topics include sunburn (the most prevalent yet most preventable skin cancer), bruises, lower back pain, sore ribs, TMJ, barotrauma, mask squeeze, broken blood vessels in your eyes, nitrogen narcosis, and “The Bends”.
